Brian Danner

Brian Danner, Swordplay Director of Operations and Events Coordinator. Mr. Danner received his BFA in Theatre and Acting from the University of Texas at Austin. His career in staged combat was fueled by a passion for Shakespeare, and he has studied theatrical violence internationally for the past 10 years. Brian is Swordplay's Level I stage combat instructor. Swordplay credits include: MASTER AND COMMANDER: THE FAR SIDE OF THE WORLD (20th Century Fox),OLD SCHOOL (Dreamworks), CINEMAGIQUE (Disney), MADONNA'S DIE ANOTHER DAY music video (TRAKTOR Films), ARLI$$ (HBO), GILMORE GIRLS (The WB), CRUEL INTENTIONS II (Columbia Tri-Star),THE HOLLOW (Disney), AN OCCURRENCE AT BLACK CANYON (Independant), KINGDOM OF DAVID (PBS), REEBOK (national commercial), GENERAL HOSPITAL (ABC), THE GREAT WAR OF MAGELLAN (pilot), UNDER THE RADAR (Fox Searchlite), the USC films FOIL and THE GAMERS, and various roles in the Swordplay Video Series SWORDPLAY FOR SHAKESPEARE. Brian also holds numerous theatrical choreography credits nation wide and serves as a resident Instructor of Combat for THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF DRAMATIC ARTS WEST and DEAF WEST THEATRE.
