Classes Schedule & Pricing

Swordplay Fencing Studio offers classes in all three fencing weapons (foil, epee, sabre) as well as theatrical (stage) combat weapons for film & television. The fencers at our studio range from Beginner to Advanced and range from ages 6 and up. Our competitive fencers continue to be a driving force in the United States Fencing Association's (USFA) circuit, competing in all three weapons.

The sport of fencing is fun, challenging, and a great workout! Even if you are not a serious competitor, fencing is a great hobby.

All members of the Swordplay staff, party staff, school enrichment and camp staff, have gone through a thorough background check and are LIVE SCAN certified.

Swordplay Membership:
Includes use of all studio equipment, unlimited use of the facility during times that the club is open, electric equipment and classes ranging from beginner to advanced, from children to adults and in all 3 weapons, foil, saber and epee.

Class Membership Cost:

Option #1
$95 per month gets 1 class per week, 4 per month
Covers one class per week. Class size is limited.

Option #2
Discount Punch Card. Buy 10 classes in advance at $20 per class.  Classes DO  NOT have to be all used in one month. They can be used for any class at any time, open floor is included if you have a card.

Option #3
Buddy dues.  If you enroll in a $95 per month class membership you can add 1 friend  for an added $30 per month.  Cost for 2 people is $125 per month.

Private Lesson Cost:

Option #1
A single private 20-30 minute lesson is $27.  There is also a $55 "private lesson only" club membership fee per month.

Option #2
Private Lesson Discount Punch Card.  Buy 5 private lessons at $22 per lesson. There is also a added $13 floor fee each time you take a private lesson. With this punch card you will still have open floor privileges at no extra cost, only when taking a lesson.

Option #3
Semi Private Lessons -- a 30 minute lesson for more than one student:
2 students $44
3 students $54

One time individual class $27

Classes are walk-in style and open to all levels of experence.  Class is $20 per class that you attend. Video of you fights will be done in every class and are available for you to download onto you laptop after each class.

Drop in Classes:
Come to class when you can.  These classes are ongoing and have new people coming to class every week.
Adult combat classes for stage & screen are $20 per class for adults and $15 per class for kids. Their is no Hand-to-hand class on Thursday.
Weapons classes are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Kids weapons training class is on Fridays. Please see schedule.
Children's Jedi classes are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday and is $17 per class.

Specialty Classes

Comp Training Class

To be in this class you do not have to be a competitor, you will just train as one. 

• Footwork and workout
• Competitive fencing instruction
• Electric fencing
• Video taping of fencing.  Show and tell on big screen TV.  Looking at timing and movement.

Weapons Combat for Film and Stage

Students study a certain fight over the course of 3 weeks.  At the end of the 3rd class the fights are performed for the cammera and shown to the group.  They will be crtiqued by Tim Weske on the taping day.  fights2film.com

Jedi Academy

The Jedi light saber class is a unique way for "Younglings" to learn the art of fencing while enjoying themselves in the art and science of being a Jedi.  This class will work in a direction to help the child's strengths and reflexes. View more details.
